Hello there, it's Ed here with just a quick emergency podcast because it's just come up on the Google Search Console status updates that a June 2024 spam update is rolling out and they expect it to take, um, up to a week. Uh, to complete this, so yeah, so release June, 2024 spam update. The rollout may take up to one week to complete. Uh, and that rolled out started, that was announced today at 8. 13 Pacific, US Pacific time. So probably just an hour or so ago. Now spam updates generally involve going after either link spam or content spam. Now. We have no further information at the moment as to what's actually going on, but it's obviously one to keep an eye on. Now is the time to start watching your rankings. A bit tricky for those of us here in the UK, because after weeks and weeks and weeks of awful weather here in the UK, we're now entering a period of nice sunny weather, which always kills search traffic. So, it's going to be really hard for us here to work out, unless it's really severe ranking changes. The odd 10 15 percent would At this moment could literally be down to a the weather the fact there's a big football competition going on the year of 2024 Um can have a big impact as well. So it's going to be weird timing here But yeah, I just wanted to do a quick update So this yeah update has been launched keeping out for it. If you see any fluctuations i'd really be interested to hear from you And yeah, as soon as it becomes clear as to what's going on. I'll put out more info
